A sign-up that can take a gift

Program registration, an event seat, or a volunteer shift can live on a page that also accepts a gift. The submission names the person, and the gift, if they add one, stays a separate amount.

Where sign-ups fall apart

What stays attached

“Sign-ups arrive as names in an inbox.”

The submission is the roster

The person who signed up is on the form result. Staff are not retyping a mailbox into a list.

1 / 3

Three sign-ups, one person

A program roster

A class or a season takes a sign-up that names the person. Staff see who joined from the submission, not from a forwarded email.

An event registration

People register for a gathering on a page that can also take a gift. The seat and the gift stay separate.

A shift they chose

A volunteer picks a shift. That choice stays on their submission, so nobody copies the name onto a second list.

The gift is optional

The page can ask for a gift beside the sign-up. Skipping the gift still saves the registration.

Questions about this page

Can someone sign up without giving?
Yes. The registration is saved even when they skip the gift. If they do give, that amount is separate.
What kinds of sign-up does this cover?
A program, an event registration, or a volunteer shift. Each one names the person who submitted.
